Every project starts the same way: a spreadsheet that outgrew itself, a manual workflow that got old, a daily friction no one else is going to fix. We write software for an audience of one, hold it to the standards of shipping to thousands, and use the French word for "workshop" because that's what this is — a room where things get made, not pitched.
